GCES Organic Fertilizers Receive International Certification
A Milestone for Sustainable Agriculture; Our organic farming inputs are now certified by Ecocert and approved Under USDA NOP, EU, and JAS Organic Standards.

Greencare Eco Solutions Ltd. is proud to announce that our organic fertilizers and growing medium have been certified by Ecocert and approved for use under the USDA National Organic Program (NOP), European Union Organic Standards, and Japanese Agricultural Standard (JAS) for organic agriculture. This certification confirms that our inputs meet internationally recognized organic production standards, ensuring they are free from prohibited synthetic substances and produced in accordance with strict environmental and traceability requirements. The certification reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality agricultural inputs that support regenerative farming while maintaining compliance with global organic market requirements.
With this certification, Greencare Eco Solutions becomes a producer of certified organic fertilizers and growing media meeting these globally recognized standards. This milestone strengthens Zambia’s capacity to participate in the growing global organic agriculture sector while supporting sustainable soil management practices locally. By producing our fertilizers through a circular system that converts biodegradable waste into high-quality agricultural inputs, we are helping restore soil fertility, reduce waste pollution, and promote environmentally responsible farming.
The certification provides significant benefits across the agricultural value chain. Smallholder farmers gain access to trusted organic inputs that improve soil health, increase water retention, and reduce reliance on costly synthetic fertilizers. Commercial farms and organic producers can confidently use GCES inputs while maintaining compliance with export-oriented organic standards. Research institutions can utilize our certified products in trials and studies aligned with international organic frameworks. Meanwhile, agro-dealers and agricultural distributors can supply verified organic inputs to a rapidly growing market of farmers seeking sustainable solutions. Together, these benefits strengthen Zambia’s agricultural ecosystem and position Greencare Eco Solutions as a pioneer in sustainable agriculture and certified organic farming input production. We gratefully acknowledge the support of our partners at the Water and Energy for Food Southern and Central Africa Hub, whose collaboration was instrumental in making this milestone possible.

These three organic standards serve different regions but share the same goal of protecting soil health, ecosystems, and consumer safety. The USDA NOP governs organic agriculture in the United States and is widely recognized in global organic trade. The EU Organic Standards regulate organic production across European Union member states, emphasizing environmental sustainability and traceability throughout the value chain. Meanwhile, the JAS Organic Standard applies to organic products entering the Japanese market and ensures rigorous control over production and certification processes. Approval under all three standards means that farmers and producers using GCES inputs can align their production systems with internationally recognized organic requirements.
